John Major is the President of MTSG, a strategic consulting and investment company. Previously, Major was Chairman and CEO of Novatel Wireless, Inc., a wireless data access solutions company. Major led Novatel’s successful IPO in November, 2000. He has also served in executive level positions at Qualcomm, including President of their Wireless Infrastructure Division. Prior to that, Major held various positions at Motorola, Inc., including Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Major currently serves as non-executive Chairman of the Board for Broadcom and as a director of three other public companies.
Major received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the University of Rochester, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois, a master’s in business administration from Northwestern University and a Juris doctorate from Loyola University.
